21-year-old arrested for murdering Indian man during robbery at US

Houston: Police in the US state of Texas have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old Indian national during a robbery at a retail store in Dallas. Dasari Gopikrishna was shot dead at a retail store in Dallas’ Pleasant Grove on June 21.

Gopikrishna, a resident of Yajali village in Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh, came to the US eight months ago

Police have arrested 21-year-old Devonta Mathis for the murder of Gopikrishna. He is accused of shooting Gopikrishna.

During the robbery, Mathis entered the store and reached the counter and shot Gopikrishna, police said. He robbed the goods before fleeing.
