Set back to BJP in Jalandhar, former senior deputy mayor joins AAP

Jalandhar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suffered a major setback ahead of the Jalandhar West Assembly by-election. Former Senior Deputy Mayor Kamaljit Singh Bhatia today joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann in Jalandhar.

This is a major setback for the BJP ahead of the elections, as Bhatia was considered very close to Sheetal Angural and former MP Sushil Kumar Rinku. Bhatia had a significant vote bank in the West constituency.
