Punjab Moosewala murder case: Two youths in vehicle with singer fail to testify

Chandigarh: Two key witnesses listed by the prosecution in the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala murder case today failed to appear before a trial court in Mansa for the second consecutive hearing to record their statements.

Gurwinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh were in the vehicle along with singer Moosewala at the time of the murder.

The court had summoned Gurwinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh today. Both of them had earlier sought exemption from hearing on May 20 on health grounds, while today they have again sought exemption from appearance citing personal reasons.

The hearing was sought to be adjourned as both the key witnesses did not appear. The court adjourned the hearing of the case and issued fresh summons to the prosecution witnesses for July 26.
