Roadways minibus overturns in Pinjore, 50 passengers injured

Chandigarh: At least 50 people were injured when a roadways minibus carrying more passengers overturned in Haryana’s Pinjore district today, police said. Most of the injured are school children. Officials gave this information.

Speaking to the media at the civil hospital in the district, Panchkula Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg said, “The minibus overturned near a turn. The cause of the accident is being investigated. Right now our focus is on rescue operations. All the children are fine, no one has suffered any serious injuries.”

30 children have been brought to the Civil Hospital in Panchkula. Others are under the supervision of doctors in Pinjore. Four others were brought to the Civil Hospital in Panchkula and one of them is a 60-year-old woman. The woman sustained injuries on her hand. She has been referred to PGI while one person is admitted in the ICU, he said.
