No hope of justice from govt in Sidhu Moosewala case: Congress

Chandigarh: Punjab Congress president and MP Amrinder Singh Raja Warring lashed out at the AAP government, saying the AAP government had filed a report in the court through the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was interviewed in 2023 from Bathinda jail where he was lodged.

Raja Warring said in a post on social media ‘X’ that the people of Punjab demand answers. How is it possible for a gangster to give an interview from inside the jail?

“Black days are about to come for Punjab, we cannot expect justice for the Sidhu Moosewala case from a government in which gangsters have more power than the administration,” he said.

The SIT is probing two TV interviews of jailed gangster Bishnoi, which were allegedly given to private channels in 2023. At that time he was lodged in Bathinda jail in Punjab. Bishnoi is currently lodged in Sabarmati jail in Gujarat in connection with a drug recovery case.
