Days after taking VRS, former IAS officer appointed as secretary of PSERC

Chandigarh: The Punjab government has appointed former IAS Karnail Singh as the Secretary of the Punjab State Power Regulatory Commission. He has taken up this position. Initially, his term will be for 3 years. However, it can be increased later which can be up to 5 years.

Karnail Singh took VRS a few days ago and his retirement was due in September. Taking the VRS, he said that he wanted to spend time with family and his is not interested in going into politics.
