Gold worth Rs 50 lakh seized from elderly man at Amritsar airport

Amritsar: Gold worth Rs 50 lakh has been recovered from an elderly man at the Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji International Airport in Amritsar.

According to airport officials, the elderly woman passenger was screened on suspicion.

During this time, customs officials recovered more than 650 grams of gold, which is said to be worth around Rs 50 lakh.

The gold has been seized by the customs department and further action is being taken against the passenger as per rules.
