3 members of family commit suicide in Nawanshahr

Chandigarh: Three members of a family ended their lives in Nawanshahr by consuming a poisonous substance, while the 11 years old girl of that family had gone to school.

According to information received from the police of Nawanshahr police station, 37-year-old Avtar Singh, resident of village Malpur Adka, was living with his 35-year-old wife Sonia, 15-year-old elder daughter and younger daughter and they took this extreme step today.

The investigating is underway to ascertain the reason for taking this extreme step.
