3 dead in school bus-bike collision in Amritsar

Amritsar: A tragic accident occurred near the village of Punga in Ajnala, Amritsar, where a school bus collided with a motorcycle carrying five family members.

Three people died in the accident, including a three-year-old girl. A two-year-old child survived but was seriously injured, and the child’s mother also sustained critical injuries.

The family was traveling on the bike to celebrate the festival of Sawan at the home of Yusuf’s fiancée. Yusuf, the eldest son, stated that his brother, mother, sister-in-law, and two young children were on the motorcycle when the school bus hit them from behind. As a result, Yusuf’s brother, mother, and three-year-old niece lost their lives.

Following the accident, local villagers, angered by the incident, vandalized the school bus. Police have launched an investigation and are taking action based on statements from the family and witnesses.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, with authorities examining the responsibility of the school bus driver and any potential traffic violations.
