HC to hear MP Amritpal’s plea today challenging NSA extension

Chandigarh: Khadoor Sahib MP and Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh has challenged the extension of the National Security Act (NSA) imposed on him. He says that it is wrong to impose the NSA on elected MP.

The matter will be heard in the Punjab and Haryana High Court today, in the Chief Justice’s court. However, at the beginning of the last hearing, the public prosecutor raised the point of technical flaws in his plea.

The prosecutor pointed out that Amritpal Singh’s home address and his parents’ ages were incorrect. Following this, his lawyer sought time to amend these errors.
