Air India flight suffers bird hit at Goa airport, aborts take-off

Panaji: An Air India flight from Goa’s Dabolim airport to Mumbai was cancelled after a bird hit it. There were 116 passengers on board, a senior official said.

Airport Director M C Jayarajan told reporters in Vasco that the incident took place at 6.45 am. He said the flight was cancelled after smoke started emanating from the engine of the aircraft due to the bird’s hit.
