4 arrested for vandalising Shivling in Khanna: Raid in UP-Delhi

New Delhi: The Punjab Police has made significant progress in the case of the theft and desecration of a Shivling at the Shivpuri Temple in Khanna, which occurred around 3:30 am on August 15.

According to sources, the police have conducted raids at several locations in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi in connection with the case. Reports suggest that four suspects have been arrested.

The accused are believed to be from the Aligarh and Meerut districts of Uttar Pradesh. Another accomplice is reportedly in Delhi Jail. The police forces from Khanna, Batala, Nangal, and Chandigarh are also said to be assisting in the operation.

However, police officials have not yet provided any official confirmation regarding the arrests. A press conference is expected to be held on Thursday, possibly by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav or Ludhiana Range DIG Dhanpreet Kaur.
