Bus carrying 40 Indian passengers falls into river in Nepal, 14 bodies recovered

Kathmandu: At least 14 people were killed when an Indian bus carrying around 40 passengers fell into the Marsayangdi river in central Nepal today, police said. According to media reports, the accident took place at Ayna Pahada in Tanahun district.

Police and rescue teams have reached the spot and rescue operations are underway.

According to initial reports, 14 bodies have been recovered. The bus number plate is UP FT 7623 and it is lying on the banks of the river. The bus was on its way to Kathmandu from Pokhara. More details are awaited.
