HS Dhaliwal who investigated Sidhu Moosewala murder case, assumes charge as DGP of Andaman and Nicobar Islands

New Delhi: IPS officer Hargobindar Singh Dhaliwal, the main investigator in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, has been posted as the DGP of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He took office today.

Dhaliwal, a resident of Village Zafarnama in Moga, had also busted another sensational murder case of international kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal Ambian. His team had arrested the gang that shot the player.

Delhi police teams led by Dhaliwal had arrested three of the six shooters in the Moosewala case.

The Delhi Police had also played a key role in locating the fourth shooter, Deepak Mundi, from near the Nepal border. He was arrested by the Punjab Police.

Dhaliwal was also posted as SP (Operations), Chandigarh, at one point of time.
