Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ release postponed

New Delhi: The release of Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Emergency’ has been postponed. The censor board has asked to remove many scenes of the film. There has been a dispute on this film for a long time.

In such a situation, this decision of the censor board is being considered as a big setback for Kangana. On September 2, the Madhya Pradesh High Court will hear the petition of a Sikh organization regarding this film. The petition filed by the Sikh organization has sought a direction to stop the release of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Emergency.

Ranaut, MP from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, was earlier scheduled to release on September 6. In the film, Kangana plays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The petitioner’s counsel was represented by senior advocate N.S. Ruprarah told the news agency on Sunday that the Jabalpur Sikh Sangat has filed a public interest litigation (PIL) in the high court against the film, claiming that it is harmful to the society.

“The petition is listed for hearing before the division bench on September 2,” Ruparah said.
