World Bank raises India’s GDP growth forecast from 6.6 percent to 7 percent
New Delhi: The Indian economy is estimated to grow at 7 percent in the current financial year 2024-25 on the back of improvement in agriculture sector and rural demand.
According to the World Bank report released on Tuesday, the India’s growth rate remains strong despite the challenging global environment.
The World Bank had earlier estimated in June that the India’s growth rate would be 6.6 percent.
World Bank senior economist Ran Lee said the India’s gross domestic product (GDP) forecast was revised on the back of monsoon and private consumption improvements.
