MLA and ADC launch district level ‘Swachhta Hi Seva-2024’ campaign

Slew of activities to be held till October 2, to spread maximum awareness about cleanliness

Jalandhar:  MLA Raman Arora and Additional Deputy Commissioner Budhiraj Singh today officially launched the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva-2024’ campaign at the District Administrative Complex. The campaign is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The dignitaries inaugurated the campaign by lighting a ceremonial lamp, encouraging all district departments to ensure the cleanliness of their respective offices.

Executive Engineer Jaskaran Singh, along with officials Navjot Virdi and Davinder Singh from the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, administered the ‘Swachhata Oath’ to the participants. They outlined the daily activities to be conducted under this cleanliness drive until October 2, the campaign’s conclusion. The initiative aims to raise maximum awareness about cleanliness and effective waste management, with the goal of keeping the environment clean and green.

Key attendees included DDPO Sukhveer Kaur, District Program Officer Manjinder Singh, and Public Health SDOs Gagandeep Singh Walia, Chetan Saini, Alok Arora, and Inder Singh from irrigation department. The officials stressed the importance of active participation in the drive to ensure its success.
