India beat Bangladesh by 280 runs

New Delhi: Ravichandran Ashwin, who scored a brilliant century in the first innings, took six wickets in his special style during the second innings as India defeated visiting Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first match of the two-Test series played here on Sunday.

The Indian team managed to beat Bangladesh strongly on the fourth day of the match, due to which India continued their excellent record against Bangladesh and took an unbeatable 1-0 lead.

Bangladesh resumed their batting at 158 for 4 on Sunday morning, but their entire team was dismissed for a total of 234 runs. Ashwin took 6 wickets for 88 runs. He also got good support from Ravindra Jadeja who took 3 wickets for 58 runs.

Bangladesh captain Hasan Shanto scored 82 off 127 balls with the help of eight fours and three sixes, but he could not get much support from any other batsman of the team.
