Punjab reshuffles 267 officers, including 25 IAS, 7 IPS and 99 PCS

Chandigarh: After the changes in the Punjab cabinet and the removal of OSD Onkar Singh from his post, the Punjab government transferred 267 officers late at night. These officers include 25 IAS, seven IPS, 99 PCS, and 136 DSP-level officers.

Senior IAS officer Alok Shekhar, from the 1994 batch, has been given additional responsibilities, now serving as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department. Another senior IAS officer from the same batch, Dhirendra Kumar Tiwari, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Transport Department.

IAS officer Dilraj Singh has been relieved of his duties as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Transport Department. Meanwhile, IAS officer Neeru Katyal Gupta has been assigned the role of Chief Administrative Officer of Punjab Urban Planning and Development.

Several other key appointments have been made:

IAS Ravinder Singh has been appointed Director of Higher Education.

IAS Varjit Walia has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary to the CM, in addition to his role as CEO of the Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion.

IAS Rahul Bhandari has been appointed Principal Secretary of the Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy Department.

IAS Rahul Tiwari has been assigned as the Administrative Secretary of the New and Renewable Energy Department.

IAS Sandeep Hans has been named Additional CEO of the Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion.

IAS Sanyam Aggarwal has been appointed Commissioner of the Bathinda Municipal Corporation.

IAS Harpreet Singh has been named Special Secretary of the Revenue Department and Director of Sports and Youth Affairs.

IAS Aditya Uppal has been appointed Commissioner of the Pathankot Municipal Corporation.

IAS Abhijeet Kaplish has been given the charge of Director of the Mining and Geology Department and Secretary of the Punjab Development Commission.

IAS Ankurjit Singh has been appointed Additional Commissioner of the Jalandhar Corporation.

IAS Chandrajyoti Singh has been given the role of ADC, Rupnagar Rural Development.

IAS Ojaswi has been appointed ADC, Faridkot.

IAS Nikas Kumar has been assigned as ADC, Hoshiarpur Rural Development.

Harjinder Singh has been named ADC, Pathankot.

IAS Kanchan has been appointed Additional Secretary of Vigilance.

IAS Aparna MB has been appointed SDM, Sultanpur Lodhi.

IAS Simrandeep Singh has been assigned as SDM, Raikot.

IAS Jaswinder Singh has been named SDM, Dinanagar.

IAS Divya P. has been given the charge of SDM, Tarn Taran.

IAS Vivek Kumar Modi has been assigned as SDM, Dusuya.

IAS Krishanpal Rajput has been appointed SDM, Khadoor Sahib.

IAS Davy Goyal has been named SDM, Bholath.

In addition, DGP Gaurav Yadav transferred 143 police officers, including seven IPS officers. The IPS officers transferred are:

IPS Arvind Meena as ASP of the Amritsar Sub-Division North.

IPS Aakarshi Jain as ASP of the Ludhiana Sub-Division.

IPS Vaibhav Chaudhary as ASP Detective, Patiala.

IPS SirivenL as ASP of the Jalandhar Sub-Division Model Town.

IPS Jayant Puri as ASP of the SAS Nagar Sub-Division City-1.

IPS Dilpreet Singh as ASP of the Gurdaspur Sub-Division Dina Nagar.

IPS Rishabh Bhola as ASP of the Jalandhar Sub-Division North.

Additionally, 136 DSPs have also been transferred.
