BJP freed Ram Rahim, Kejriwal from jail to harm Congress: Vadra

New Delhi: Robert Vadra, husband of senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Tuesday alleged that the BJP was behind the release of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal from jail so that both of them could harm the Congress by campaigning in the Haryana elections.

He strongly condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top BJP leaders for taking his name in a “derogatory manner”.

“When Ram Rahim, who is accused of murder and rape, is released (from jail) 20 days before the elections, you (BJP) release him for campaigning… I would say that kejriwal ji being thrown out of jail during the elections so that he can campaign in Haryana, I think it is a ploy of the BJP.”

He said the BJP feels that these persons can harm the Congress’ chances of winning the Haryana polls.
