Firing outside GMCH Chandigarh injures two in midnight incident

Chandigarh: A firing incident occurred late at night outside the taxi stand at GMCH, Sector-32, Chandigarh, leaving two men seriously injured. One sustained a gunshot wound to the hand, while the other was shot in the neck.

The attack is believed to be the result of an old enmity. The victims have been identified as Rajesh alias Rock from Nayagaon and Hanny Bhardwaj from Sector-41.

Both are receiving treatment at the hospital, and the police are investigating the case.

According to reports, Rajesh was sitting with his acquaintance, Hanny, at the taxi stand when Rajat, a resident of Sunny Enclave, Kharar, arrived with his friend Kunal and others. They were discussing plans for organizing a community meal during the Navratri festival.

Later, a man named Sunny arrived with a friend. Witnesses told the police that Sunny asked Rajesh for a cigarette and sat with them for a while.

Soon after, gunshots were heard. Hanny fell to the ground, and Rajesh was shot in the hand. The attackers fled the scene following the shooting.
