India and Canada expelled six diplomats each from each other

New Delhi: Tensions between the two countries have escalated after Canada accused India of being involved in the Nijjar murder case. Meanwhile, Canada has expelled six Indian diplomats. The action was taken after the police collected evidence.

Canada alleged that these Indian diplomats were part of the Indian government’s campaign of violence in their country. After this, India has retaliated and asked six Canadian diplomats posted in India to leave the country by October 19.

India today summoned the Canadian in-charge posted in the country (India) and said that the Indian government is not satisfied with the attitude of the Trudeau government after Canada asked him to interrogate the Indian envoy in connection with the murder of a Sikh leader.

Apart from this, India has also recalled the Indian High Commissioner posted in Canada to the country. India’s Ministry of External Affairs has said that it does not trust the Trudeau government of Canada.

Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had rejected the Trudeau government’s request to question India’s High Commissioner to Canada Sanjay Verma and other diplomats in connection with the Nijjar case. India’s Ministry of External Affairs said that the allegations made by the Canadian government are baseless. It said Canada’s action was part of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s vote bank politics.

The ministry said that the Government of Canada is doing this to get the votes of a particular community in which there is no truth in it. The government also said that Canada has not shared any evidence in this regard.
