Delhi blast: Police probe possible Khalistani link, write to Telegram for details

New Delhi: The Delhi Police have approached messaging app Telegram to gather information about a group possibly linked to a blast that occurred near a CRPF school in Rohini’s Prashant Vihar on Sunday morning.

While there were no casualties, the explosion caused damage to a signboard, shop hoardings, and nearby vehicles.

Police sources revealed that they have obtained CCTV footage of a suspect seen near the location the night before the incident. A Telegram post, circulating on social media, allegedly claimed that the blast was retaliation for the targeting of pro-Khalistani separatists by Indian agents.

The police are investigating the Justice League India Group, which shared a video of the blast marked with the “Khalistan Zindabad” watermark.

The post read, “If Indian coward agencies and their masters think they can hire goons to target our members to silence our voice, then they live in a world of fools.”

A team from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) visited the site on Monday morning. Authorities suspect the explosion was caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) hidden in a one-foot-deep pit near the school wall. The investigation is ongoing.
