Arrest warrant issued against Bharat Inder Chahal

Chandigarh: A Patiala court has issued an arrest warrant against Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, who was the media advisor to former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

In the warrants issued by the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Patiala, Chahal has been ordered to be arrested by October 28 and produced before the court.

It may be recalled that an FIR was registered against Bharat Inder Chahal on August 2, 2023 under sections 13(1)B, 13(2) PC Act at VB Police Station Patiala on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Chahal’s application for anticipatory bail was recently dismissed by the high court.
