Man killed in Baba Bakala; wife and lover arrested

Baba Bakala: A man was allegedly murdered by his wife and her lover in Baba Bakala town on Tuesday night, police said. The deceased, identified as Sukhdev Singh Fauji was reportedly strangled to death.

The accused have been identified as Jaswinder Kaur, wife of the deceased, and Kulwant Singh, a resident of Bhullar.

According to police, the incident came to light when Partap Singh, a resident of Vedadpur, filed a statement. He claimed his sister-in-law called him around 8:30 pm on Tuesday, informing him that Sukhdev Singh was being strangled by an unidentified person while his wife stood by.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Jaswinder Kaur and Kulwant Singh were allegedly in a relationship. Police believe the murder was orchestrated by the duo to eliminate Sukhdev Singh.

A case of murder has been registered against the accused at Beas police station, and further investigation is underway.
