Chandigarh blast: Two DSPs, 15 inspectors transferred
Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Police today transferred 15 inspectors and two DSPs in connection with the blast outside two clubs in Sector 26 here a day earlier. DSP Udaipal Singh and DSP Sanhwinder Pal have been posted as sub-divisional police officers in central Chandigarh and DSP security high courts respectively.
They will take charge from November 30, while inspectors have been posted in other areas with immediate effect. The Chandigarh Police has started a series of meetings to further investigate the matter.
The blast took place outside two clubs, including one owned by Punjabi music rapper Badshah, in Sector 26. Goldy Brar of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the blast. Goldy Brar shared the post on social media and said that the reason for these blasts is that the club owners do not give them protection money.
He wrote that many calls were made to the club owners for money, but they have ignored them and explosions have been made to make this sound in their ears. Earlier, at around 3.15 am, two motorcycle-borne youths exploded outside Club Seville and another club d’Ora in Sector-26, Chandigarh.
After this, Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur and other investigation teams investigated the incident. It is worth mentioning that a few months ago, a grenade was also attacked on house in Sector-10.
