Two associates of Lawrence Bishnoi gang arrested in Jalandhar

Chandigarh: Jalandhar police arrested two associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in a significant operation involving an exchange of gunfire.

Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that the suspects opened fire on the police during a chase, prompting retaliatory action that led to their capture.

The arrested individuals face multiple charges, including extortion, murder, violations of the Arms Act, and offences under the NDPS Act. Authorities also recovered three firearms and several cartridges from the scene.

DGP Yadav shared details of the operation on social media platform X, praising the efforts of the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police in executing the arrest. The operation highlights ongoing efforts to crack down on organized crime in Punjab.
