1984 anti-Sikh riots: SC defers verdict against Sajjan Kumar
New Delhi: A Delhi court will pronounce its verdict on December 16 in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case against former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar. The case pertains to the alleged killing of two Sikhs in Saraswati Vihar area during the anti-Sikh riots.
Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, who was scheduled to pronounce the verdict in the case today, said a copy of the order in this regard could not be prepared and hence the decision has been deferred till further orders.
The court had on November 1, 1984, reserved its verdict after hearing final arguments in the case related to the murder of Jaswant Singh and his son Tarundeep Singh.
