Court to hear Jagdish Tytler’s case in 1984 anti-Sikh riots on December 9

New Delhi: A Delhi court has scheduled December 9 to record statements from two former police officers, Ravi Sharma and Dharam Chand, as witnesses in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case involving Congress leader Jagdish Tytler.

Special CBI Judge Jatinder Singh announced the adjournment after the witnesses failed to appear during the hearing. Tytler, however, was present in person.

The case pertains to the killing of three Sikhs at Gurdwara Pul Bangash in Delhi during the riots. On November 12, the court recorded the statement of Lakhwinder Kaur, the widow of Badal Singh, one of the victims.
