BKU Ugrahan announces to join protest with SKM
Chandigarh: A state-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Joginder Singh Ugrahan at Dana Mandi here today to prepare for massive protests at district centres across Punjab on December 23 against the draft central agricultural marketing and the pending demands of the Delhi solution, including the legal guarantee of MSP, by the Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta-Ugrahan under the call of The Samyuktkisan Morcha SKM.
The meeting was attended by hundreds of village level leaders and activists, including a large number of women and youth.
Addressing the meeting, Ugrahan said that the Centre’s draft agricultural marketing is a tool to impose the same black laws on farmers across the country, which has been issued in 15 days for the formal approval of the state governments on the lines of GST taxes.
State General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Kokri Kalan said that with the legal implementation of this draft, the pro-corporate open market policy of the World Trade Organization (WTO) will be imposed and the prices of crops will be looted.
