Chaos erupts at Chandigarh Municipal Corporation House meeting
Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation (MCC) House meeting descended into chaos on Tuesday as councillors from the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), part of the ‘India’ alliance, protested against the Modi government and the BJP.
The uproar began immediately after the session commenced, with slogans raised over remarks concerning Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar and the privatization of electricity in Chandigarh.
During the heated session, Congress councillor Gurpreet Singh Gabi highlighted a social media post alleging misconduct by nominated councillor Anil Masih, who served as the returning officer during this year’s mayoral election.
Amid the commotion, nominated councillor Satinder Singh Sidhu launched a scathing attack on AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, calling him and his team “thieves” and claiming that many AAP leaders are currently out on bail. Sidhu questioned their credibility in criticizing others.
