Kejriwal alleges conspiracy to arrest Delhi CM Atishi

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday claimed that a conspiracy was being plotted to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Atishi in a “fake” case.

Kejriwal made the allegation in a post on social media platform X, stating that Atishi’s arrest could occur in the coming days.

The accusation comes amid a new controversy involving the Women and Child Development and Health departments of the Delhi government.

On Wednesday, the departments issued a public notice dissociating themselves from certain schemes reportedly promised by the AAP. These include providing masks worth Rs 2,100 to women and offering free treatment for the elderly.

The departments warned the public against sharing personal details for “non-existent” schemes. They clarified that any private entity or political party collecting information through forms or other means is acting “fraudulently and without authority.”

The developments have sparked political tension ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections.
