NIA announces Rs 5 lakh reward for terrorist Happy Pasia, attaches properties of Ludhiana blast accused

Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for information leading to the capture of terrorist Happy Pasia, the mastermind behind the grenade attack on a Kothi in Chandigarh and several police stations in Punjab.

Operating from abroad, Pasia has been orchestrating grenade attacks. The NIA has released a poster urging people to report information about him via phone, WhatsApp, or email.

In connection with the Kothi grenade attack, the NIA has sought an arrest warrant from the Chandigarh District Court, with a decision expected on January 9.

Additionally, the NIA has attached properties belonging to four accused in the December 23, 2021, Ludhiana court blast case. As per orders from a special court, the agency seized:

 

15 kanal 19 marla land of Surmukh Singh

27 kanal 16 marla each of Dilbagh Singh and Harpreet Singh (alias Happy Malaysia)

15 kanal 18 marla land of Rajpreet Singh.

 

The NIA has also highlighted the activities of Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla, a Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) operative arrested in Milton, Canada, on October 28, 2024, after being shot during a shootout. Although he was later granted bail, Dalla had been running operations for the late Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Following Dalla’s arrest, Pasia became more active in Punjab, collaborating with accomplice Gopi Nawanshariya to carry out Khalistani activities.
