Farmer leader Dallewal urges BJP leaders to press PM on farmers’ demands

Chandigarh: Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal thanked BJP leader Sukhminder Singh Grewal for meeting Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh and requesting an order for Dallewal to end his hunger strike.

However, Dallewal urged Grewal to meet the Prime Minister instead and push for acceptance of the farmers’ demands.

Dallewal said that the farmers have no desire to fast unto death or protest on the streets, stating they were compelled to take such measures to ensure their legitimate demands are met.

He added that the hunger strike would end immediately if their grievances are addressed.
