Ludhiana: Gurpreet Singh Bassi Gogi, an MLA from Ludhiana, Punjab, died on January 10 due to accidental bullet injuries while cleaning a pistol. Political leaders from various parties have been visiting his residence to express condolences to his family.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia, accompanied by Manpreet Singh Ayali, visited Gogi’s family to pay their respects.

“Just days ago, I had a conversation with him. Gogi was always lively and deeply committed to the people’s welfare. His passing is not just a loss for his constituency but for all political parties in Punjab,” Majithia said, adding that the SAD stands in solidarity with Gogi’s family during this difficult time.
