SGPC president condemns desecration of Gutka Sahib in Faridkot

Amritsar: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned the desecration of the holy Gutka Sahib of Gurbani in Golewala village, Faridkot district.

Expressing concern over the repeated incidents of sacrilege in Punjab, Dhami stated that such acts, which disrespect Gurbani—a guide for humanity—deeply hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community.

The SGPC president said that there is the need for strict punishment to deter such incidents and criticized the lack of strong action by the authorities, which he believes has emboldened those involved in these acts.

Dhami urged the government to identify and take strict action against the culprits. He also appealed to the Sikh community to ensure proper care and respect for the holy Gutka Sahib of Gurbani in their homes.
