55-year-old man dies in house fire in Jalandhar

Jalandhar: A 55-year-old man, identified as Gurdwara Singh Chand, died after a fire broke out in his house in Mandi village, Apara area of Phillaur, Jalandhar, police said on Friday.

According to officials, the fire brigade extinguished the flames and found the man’s charred body inside the house. The incident has left the family in deep shock, while the Phillaur police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.

Authorities said that no one else was present in the house at the time of the incident. Villagers, noticing the fire, alerted the fire brigade, which quickly responded to the scene. After retrieving the body, police sent it to Civil Hospital Phillaur for a post-mortem examination.

The fire created panic among the residents of the village. Both the police and fire brigade are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the blaze.
