Jalandhar: ED attaches assets worth Rs 178 crore in money laundering probe
Jalandhar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Jalandhar has taken large-scale action against ViewNow Marketing Services Limited, Big Boy Toys, and associated entities under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
The agency has temporarily attached six immovable properties, balances in 73 bank accounts, and 26 luxury vehicles, with a total market value of approximately Rs 178.12 crore.
The ED conducted searches on January 17 and 20 at locations linked to Mandeshi Foods Pvt Ltd, Plankdot Pvt Ltd, ByteCanvas LLP, Skyverse, and Skylink Network. Officials seized a Land Cruiser worth Rs 2.2 crore, a Mercedes G-Wagon worth Rs 4 crore, Rs 3 lakh in cash, along with incriminating documents, records, and digital devices.
Following the ED’s complaint, Noida’s Gautam Budh Nagar police registered a case under various sections of BNS 2023. The investigation revealed that ViewNow Marketing Services Ltd had allegedly defrauded investors by promoting a fraudulent cloud particle leasing model (SLB model) without any supporting infrastructure.
The seized luxury vehicles include two G-Wagons, an XUV Lexus, a Range Rover, a Rubicon, an Audi R8, and a Range Rover Sport.
