Diljit Dosanjh in trouble over legal notices with new song ‘Tension’

New Delhi: Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, who has been in the news for his Dil-Luminati concert, has responded to multiple legal notices through his latest song, Tension.

The singer had received notices in Delhi, Chandigarh, and Telangana, including one from the Women and Child Care Commission in Chandigarh.

Dosanjh released Tension on his YouTube channel yesterday. The music video opens in a rural Punjab setting, where elderly men are listening to a radio broadcast about the ongoing legal troubles surrounding the singer.

As the report mentions a notice issued to him, one of the elders remarks, “Dasso, Jatt te jhota kisse to dare ne” (Tell me, have a Jatt or a buffalo ever feared anyone?).

The song then begins with the lyrics: “Tension mitran nu hai ni, Jatt jhota, pag mota, je dus, laga tan kah ni…”, reinforcing Dosanjh’s defiant stance.
