BJP issues show-cause notice to Haryana minister Anil Vij over public statements

New Delhi: The ongoing discord within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana has come to the forefront, with the party issuing a show-cause notice to senior leader and minister Anil Vij for making public statements against the state leadership.

Haryana BJP president Mohanlal Badoli on Monday sent the notice, accusing Vij of making remarks against the party’s state president and chief minister. “These are serious allegations that go against the party’s policy and internal discipline,” the notice stated.

The letter further mentioned that Vij’s statements were made while the party was campaigning for elections in a neighbouring state.

“At a crucial time, while holding a ministerial position, you knowingly made statements that could harm the party’s image. This is completely unacceptable,” it read.

The notice, issued under the instructions of BJP’s national president JP Nadda, has directed Vij to provide a written explanation within three days.
