SGPC offers support to Indians deported from the US

Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has expressed sympathy for Indians being deported from the US.

SGPC president Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami stated that the committee is prepared to arrange accommodation and transportation for those arriving in Amritsar on special flights.

He added that individuals in need of assistance can contact SGPC staff at the airport.

Dhami also criticized the inhumane treatment of deportees, highlighting concerns about the use of handcuffs and other restraints.

He called on authorities to take strict action against those exploiting people by charging large sums for illegal migration.
