AAP MLA Atishi urges CM Rekha Gupta to fulfill Rs 2,500 scheme for women

New Delhi: AAP MLA Atishi called on newly sworn-in Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to fulfill the BJP’s promise of providing Rs 2,500 to women in the city.

She said that the scheme should be approved in the first cabinet meeting, ensuring the amount is deposited into women’s accounts by March 8.

“As a woman chief minister, I hope Rekha Gupta will fulfill the promises made to the women of Delhi,” Atishi said.

She also noted that both the chief minister and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had pledged this scheme, with the prime minister urging women to link their phones with their bank accounts.
