Rahul Gandhi criticizes PM Modi over Adani controversy remarks

New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for calling the Adani group controversy a “personal matter” in an interview with US media.

Speaking at an event in Lalganj during his visit to Rae Bareli, Gandhi said the issue was of national significance and not just a private concern.

He claimed that Modi told the American media he would not discuss allegations against industrialist Gautam Adani with the US President.

“There is a case of corruption and theft against Adani in the US, and our Prime Minister says it is a personal matter. If he was truly acting as prime minister, he would have assured an investigation and even sent Adani to the US if necessary,” Gandhi said.
