Chandigarh: Patiala police have busted a prostitution racket operating under the guise of a spa in the city’s Urban Estate area. The Special Cell, acting on the instructions of SSP Dr. Nanak Singh, detained 16 women and 8 men from the premises.
Among those arrested, eight women are from Thailand. Inspector Harjinder Singh Dhillon, in charge of the Special Cell, led the operation in coordination with Urban Estate Police Station.
Authorities had been receiving complaints about the spa for several months. The establishment had been running for years, and police have now registered a case against its owners.
