Taliban warns us after Trump’s remarks on retrieving weapons left in Afghanistan

Kabul: Nearly three and a half years after US forces withdrew from Afghanistan, the Taliban has issued a warning to the US, stating that any attack on Afghanistan will be met with a strong response.

The statement comes after former US President Donald Trump expressed his desire to reclaim American weapons left behind during the withdrawal in August 2021.

During a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Maryland, Trump criticized the situation, highlighting how the Taliban annually displays captured US military equipment, including helicopters and armored vehicles, in a parade celebrating their victory over America.

He called it a “matter of shame” and admitted feeling angered when witnessing the Taliban using American military assets.
