MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj files complaint over truck union bribery case

Chandigarh: MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj, along with hundreds of supporters, submitted a written complaint to SP Palwinder Singh Cheema on Monday, demanding action against those involved in an alleged money transaction for the chairmanship of the Bhawanigarh truck union.

Bharaj and her supporters gathered at her residence before proceeding to the district police office in a convoy.

Speaking to the media, Bharaj claimed that she was being deliberately defamed and called for an investigation into the viral video related to the case.

She also demanded a probe into the source of the money and the alleged involvement of Manjit Singh Kaka’s family.

Bharaj further alleged that three days before the video surfaced, a police officer visited her home and pressured her to compromise. She stated that she would soon disclose the officer’s name.

Expressing concern over the lack of police action so far, she said she had informed the party’s national convener and the chief minister about the matter.
