Akash Anand reacts after removal from BSP posts, says Mayawati’s decisions are final

Lucknow: A day after being removed from all posts in the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), former national coordinator Akash Anand on Monday said he respects every decision of party chief Mayawati and considers them a “line on stone.”

Anand acknowledged that his removal, along with the withdrawal of his designation as Mayawati’s successor, had an emotional impact on him. However, he asserted that he has taken it as a challenge and has a long battle ahead.

On Sunday, Mayawati removed her nephew from all party posts and appointed his father, Anand Kumar, and Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Gautam as national coordinators in his place. She also stated that she would not declare anyone as her successor during her lifetime.

“I am a cadre of Mayawati ji, and under her leadership, I have learned unforgettable lessons of sacrifice, loyalty, and dedication,” Anand wrote on social media platform X on Monday. “These are not just ideals for me but the purpose of my life.”
