Giani Harpreet Singh urges unity amid challenges to Sri Akal Takht Sahib

Amritsar: Speaking at the martyrdom ceremony of Bhai Amrik Singh, Giani Harpreet Singh said that the Sikh community is facing a difficult phase and must work together for the future.

He alleged that those responsible for upholding the maryada of Sri Akal Takht Sahib are the same individuals undermining the sanctity of gurdwaras.

Commending the five-member committee for its firm stance, he urged the youth to join the revived Akali Dal to strengthen panthic ideology. He said that Sri Akal Takht Sahib remains a target of governments and continues to face various forms of attacks.

Giani Harpreet Singh also criticized those opposing the December 2 decision, stating that some leaders have questioned the legality of the seven-member committee formed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

He warned that those working against the Panth would eventually be removed from the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Urging youth participation, he reiterated that the five-member committee is reviving the SAD and called for mass membership to reclaim its direction.
