SIT summons Bikram Majithia again for questioning in drug smuggling case

Chandigarh: Senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia has been summoned for questioning on March 17 by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) as part of its ongoing investigation into a drug smuggling case.

The case was registered at the Police Station Punjab State Crime in December 2021.

According to the notice issued by the SIT under Section 160 of the CrPC, the summons comes after the Supreme Court’s direction.

During the hearing of Special Div Petition No. 3650/2023 on March 4, 2025, the double bench directed Majithia to appear before the SIT on March 17. He is required to appear at the SIT headquarters in Police Line Patiala at 11 am.
