Man sentenced to life for murdering ex-girlfriend, sister, and mother in UK
London: Kyle Clifford, 26, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his ex-girlfriend, her sister, and their mother in Hertfordshire, UK. Cambridge Crown Court Judge Justice Benathan handed him three life sentences, ruling that he will remain in prison for the rest of his life.
Clifford was found guilty of raping his former partner, Louise Hunt, 25, before using a crossbow to kill her and her 28-year-old sister, Hannah. He had earlier stabbed their 61-year-old mother, Carol, at their family home in July last year.
The victims were the wife and daughters of BBC horse racing commentator John Hunt. In his court statement, Hunt described Clifford as a “psychopath” who presented himself as “an ordinary human being.”
Hunt, emotional during the hearing, read out his statement and paused at times to compose himself. He ended with, “The screams of hell, Kyle, I can hear them a little bit now. The red carpet will be out for you.”
Hannah’s sister, Amy, called Clifford a “monster,” adding, “What he did to my younger sister is nothing short of a satanic act.”
Hannah’s boyfriend, Alex Klein, also addressed the court, describing Clifford as a “coward” who would now have to face “bad luck” forever.
